A Little about me…
John is an Ohio expat living in Texas. Writing, music, art and Christ are my passions. Just started playing bass guitar after leaving it for 30 years.
The genesis his bestselling ‘Whiskey’ Series occurred in a fiction writing class at the Write to Publish conference. Challenged with coming up with a book title and a blurb, I sat for 4-1/2 minutes with my mind blank.
But the Title, protagonist, and story idea exploded in 30 seconds. Using both paranormal and Christian elements, this tale of the new Wild West became an obsession. It wasn't an easy birth to bring it to publication.
The main character, Rye Dawlsen, represents both the good and bad in people and how we struggle to achieve to be a better person. The antagonist, Richard List, depicts how some people struggle to become a morally corrupt person.
Rockport Fulton Book Festival
The Rockport Fulton Book Festival showcases authors from all over Texas, providing attendees with the rare opportunity to hear from a diverse group of voices and perspectives, all while celebrating the rich literary culture of the state. It is help annually in Fulton, Texas as is ususally during the Spring (April).
This book festival is truly one-of-a-kind because it’s not only family-friendly but also offers a wide variety of engaging activities for all ages, and I’m glad to not only be a regular attendee, but also a featured speaker!
